Talk Homework: Can you retell the Creation Story to your adults?

In Poplar Class this week, we have been learning about fact families for addition and subtraction number sentences. We have also practised our number bonds to 10, 20 and 100. In English, we have focused on our punctuation and vocabulary. We had great fun finding words in the woodland area, which we then acted out and used in our planning for our descriptive writing. In RE we painted animals and humans to show the sixth day of the Creation Story. In PE, we have been developing our throwing and catching skills- this week we used balls on the field, throwing up with one hand and catching with the other. It was tricky but really fun!

‘I have really enjoyed learning about our senses, especially when we went outside to listen to all the sounds in the trees.’- Lola

‘I have really enjoyed our class reader book- my favourite part was when the monkey spat fire out of his mouth because he ate a hot sweet from The Grubber!’- Michael

‘My favourite part of The Giraffe, The Pelly and Me was when the pelican nearly ate the burglar!’- Dexter

Happy Green Week!
