A weekly update of what has been going on

Spellings:

boy, soil, look, fork, star

said, beat, cloud, play, sea

English:

In English this week we have been looking at the letters in the book of 'The Jolly Postman'. We have focused a lot around the letter that was sent to the wolf. We looked at the vocabulary used within the letter and the meaning of the words. We have then carried out hot seating, role play and question asking ready for a mock trial on Monday to see if the wolf is guilty or not.!

Maths:

We have been looking at addition number sentences to 20. We started by thinking about our number bond to 20. What 2 numbers make 20? How could we use our bonds to 10 to help us? We then started using this knowledge in our addition to see how we could split numbers to make it easer to add them up by using what we already know.
