In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 22nd March

Another very busy week. The children have really worked hard and I hope they feel very proud of their achievements.
It is always such a pleasure to work with them and see the progress they are making.

 English
This week we have been learning how to draft and edit our writing. Thinking of ways to improve our work by adding an adjective or making a sentence more detailed.  All the children have really challenged themselves and produced some wonderful postcards from one of our main story characters.

 Maths

We have been looking at measures and using meters and centimetres. Our main focus is how to measure accurately using a ruler.

How do we place the ruler and read the scale?

Many of the class have produced their own meter rulers as part of their homework, and some of these were used to measure objects in the classroom.

Global Learning .

This weeks lesson was all about how we can reuse items of clothing. It was such a creative session, with so many wonderful ideas. We made puppets , bags and cushions from our old clothes.

I have enjoyed measuring in maths . F.C.

It was exciting making my bag. D.D.G.

I enjoyed  P.E. on Wednesday when we did some gymnastics. J C.
