Talk Homework: What do you think is inside the Earth?

In English we have been looking at a book called “The Pebble in my Pocket.” We have written about dinosaurs, found out about Stone Age People and written a soundscape poem. We also went on a walk around the village to help us use our senses to describe settings.

In science we have been learning about rocks and really loved some investigations we did to discover which rocks are hardest, and whether big rocks are stronger than small rocks. We also learned about how rocks are made using chocolate to help.

Our Global Learning this term has been about education. We have found out how children went to school in Victorian times (it looked horrible!) and we also learned about Malala and how she stood up for education for girls in Pakistan – and now helps girls get educated all over the world.

In maths we have been learning about place value and how it can help us add and subtract numbers in columns. We have got really good at adding and are getting that good at subtracting too. (We’ve made Mr B do a happy dance a few times in maths lessons!)

In PE we have been playing rugby with Miss Lizell and learning about balances and transitions with Mr B.
