In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 23rd October

This week .......

Olivia:  This week in Global Learning we have been making fact files about animals in the Galapagos Islands.  I wrote about Darwin's Finches.  Did you know that there are up to 14 different types of finches!

Izzy:  We have used paint pens to decorate stones with images for Remembrance Day.

Maisy:  In English we have all been writing the next chapter for our Power of Reading Book, The Last Wild.  We planned our ideas on a large sheet of paper.  We used drawings and flow diagrams to help us with our ideas.  We then drafted our stories and wrote them up in best.

Alexa:  In Science, we have been finding out about Natural Selection.  We went outside, and, using newspaper and black paper, we pretended we were birds and had to see how many triangles we could pick up in a certain time.  We found out that it was easier to see the newspaper triangles on the black paper and this helped us to understand why black and white moths were struggling to survive during the industrial revolution.
