This week we have been working incredibly hard and have shown a really positive attitude to our learning! In science, we have finished our bean diaries and have planted our runner bean seedlings. In PSHE, we have been learning about households: needs and wants. We learnt that needs are things that we have to survive and be successful, whereas wants are extra things that we desire or make our lives even better. In English, we have been writing a character description for Atir- we have been using expanded noun phrases and even similes! Today we focused on senses to help write our setting description next week- we even tried dates (which tasted like giant raisins) and sweet, juicy pomegranate! In topic, we compared our meals to those in the workhouse, we recognised that our food is healthier than workhouse because it contains more vitamins, energy and different food groups to help us grow. We also have been drawing pictures to represent a day in the life of a workhouse child, some of us even drew an entire workhouse with all of the rooms!  In PE, we have been improving our time on obstacle courses and have been finalising our dance routines to music.  In maths, we have been revising, focusing on fractions of amount and shape.

Happy Friday!
