<p>Y5 &ndash; circumstantial, potential, essential, substantial, influential, torrential, confidential, impartial, preferential, residential&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Science, we have learnt why we get day and night. Ask us what rotate and axis means.</p>

<p>In English, we have watched the Mars rover landing and we are writing a setting description for the landing using personification and similes.</p>

<p>This week, we have had our introductory session with Brain Buddies which teaches us strategies to help us deal with new or big emotions.</p>

<p>Monday 5th we have our Harvest service at St Mary&#39;s church, where children can donate something to the food bank.</p>

<p>The children in all three classes have settled in well to their new routines and timetables.&nbsp; Thank you to parents and carers for your continued support with equipment and their enthusiasm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We have been learning about space this week - ask us about the eight planets and some of their key features.</p>

<p><strong>Homework:</strong></p>

<p>Spellings - to be handed in on Mondays and tested on Monday</p>

<p>Doodle - 45 minutes per week</p>

<p>SPaP - to be handed in on Wednesday and marked within the lesson</p>

<p>Reading - daily&nbsp; -&nbsp;&nbsp;listening to your child read and reading to them is highly beneficial to their understanding and increases their vocabulary.</p>

<p>Spellings Y4 - magically, usually, sarcastically, worriedly, sparkly, happily, logically, gratefully, dramatically, directly</p>

<p>Spelling Y5 - delicious, conscious, ferocious, malicious, spacious, atrocious, luscious, gracious, precious, suspicious.</p>

<p>Key Dates - Monday 5th October - Harvest Church volunteers needed and food donation for church,</p>
