Talk Homework: Talk about your hopes and aspirations for the up coming school year.

We have had amazing fun in Franklin class this week. We began the week by learning about using apostrophes for possession and contraction, matching the two parts of the word to make a contraction. Following this we matched book characters to their possessions and wrote this down in a sentence using our newly acquired knowledge. We followed this up by writing and performing our own poems based on some diving giraffes, Ask us why this video surprised us!

We had a fantastic day and assembly when a musician from Rock Steady came and introduced us to Rock music. We loved learning about all the different instruments and forming our own band 'The Purple Sausage Roll Dogs.' We look forward to creating our own bands in September.

We finished the week off with a lesson about mindfulness. In this lesson we learned about neurons and how practising mindfulness can help to calm our firing amygdala's when we are feeling excited or scared.
