What a jam-packed first week back!

In English, we've started looking at our new book 'The Varmints'. The children predicted the story based on the front cover and loved looking at all the pictures. We had big discussions about what the book might mean and the symbolism behind it.

In Maths, we moved on to looking at length and perimeter. The children looked at the different length of things around the classroom and how to convert equivalent lengths.

In Geography, we began looking at different cities around the world and what makes them sustainable. We compared London and Vienna and discussed where we would rather live.

Art this term is based around the artist Stephen Wiltshire and his amazingly detailed work. The children watched a video of his impressive talent and keen memory and were all in shock at how accurate his drawings were.

The main thing we have done this week however has, of course, been practising for the play! It's looking really lovely, and we cannot wait to show you all next week!

Have a lovely weekend,

Year 3
