In English this week we have been looking at Descriptive Poems. Focussing on using adjectives , nouns and verbs. Here is one example:

 Angry crab
 Pinching wavy seaweed
 At the bottom of the dark gloomy  ocean.

 Maths

 The children have been learning to represent numbers up to 50 using a variety of concrete materials.

 This includes Base 10 , a Ten Frame ,  the Part Part Whole method and a Place Value Grid .

 Global Learning  Sustainable Cities

 We have explored the similarities and differences  between towns , cities and villages. Talking about the different features and amenities you might find.
 It was great fun building our own towns using a variety of construction materials.

 Spellings

 Group 1  get red car pop fin

 Group 2  shrimp are spoil ping spark

 Group 3  chair chop shut shell short

 Group 4 toe launch blue clue where

 Group 5 goes haunted rescue argue where

 

 I.P. I enjoyed trying to create sentences using my spellings.

 R. W. I enjoyed learning more about tens and ones .

 I.S. Maths was fun , I liked learning about the different ways to show tens and units.

 BB. I am very proud of my Dolphin poem.

 A.J. and O.S. both enjoyed thinking of questions to add to our learning grid in English.
