In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 25th April

Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least 20 minutes of numbots a week.

In Maths we have been consolidating our learning on equal groups and making equal groups. The children were also introduced to arrays and have understood the difference between rows and columns.

In English we have been exploring a new book. The children have been exploring some of the pictures in the book and they noticed that there was a lot of litter. We then decided to do some research and make a poster about littering and warn people about the damage it causes.

In Science we have begun our new topic on plants. The children got the chance to show us everything they know about plants by doing some drawings and labelling in their books. They are excited to get the chance to do some gardening and learn more about plants.

In Geography we have started our new topic of farming and we explored the different types of farms and how the land is used. It led into a nice discussion about sustainability and what we can do to help the planet.
