The children have had another fantastic week. 

In maths we have been looking at time and the children have been trying really hard to tell the time on the hour and half past the hour. Alongside this, we have been consolidating place value and addition and subtraction to make sure the children are ready for Year 2.

In English the children have been doing lots of reading comprehension and have been able to show off just how much progress they have all made. They have also done a brilliant creative write and it was lovely to see their imaginative ideas. 

In DT we repurposed our old t-shirts and made our final products. The children showed great creativity with their designs as well as fantastic making skills. They were able to plan exactly what they needed to cut out of their t-shirt in order to produce their final product and were able to join their materials well. 

Finally, the highlight of the week was Enterprise. The children really enjoyed going to the event and getting to spend their money to win some prizes, have their nails or faces painted and even getting to do some push ups to win a prize!

We are looking forward to the final week of Year 1!
