In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 23rd May 2025

We have had a fun-filled week!

On Tuesday, we had RE day in which we discussed "For nothing will be impossible with God", Luke 1:37. We had discussions about scripture and the children made a link between school and the words. We spoke about how God can help us with our life decisions but also with worldwide goals. Goal 14 of the SDG's, which is life below water, aims to reduce marine pollution and conserve ecosystems. We spoke about overfishing in the UK and how it can be reduced/managed, and we also tied it back to the verse from Luke.

Then we had science week! We looked at different science careers, we became entomologists for the day and drew insects. We went to the pond and used magnifying glasses to observe bugs in their own habitats. On Thursday we looked at forces and motion. We watched parachute jumps and then conducted an investigation to find out how the size of a parachute matters. Even discussing Isaac Newton's Theory of Relativity!

Have a wonderful holiday!
