Don't forget to read at home. It really does make an incredible difference to their learning at school.

We have had a fantastic week in year2. Some of our highlights have been PE, they have really enjoyed developing their skills and can now do chest and bounce passes, they can pivot and have started to learn about intercepting and finding space.

During science and history this week we learnt all about Florence Nightingale and made our very own fact file all about her life and how she raised awareness about nursing.

In English, we have been developing a script for a news report and then performed it on the big screen for the rest of the class.

Today we had a very exciting morning when Richard from Anglia Water came to talk to us about what goes into our sewers and how they clean and treat it. We learnt about how putting the wrong things down the drain/toilet can impact wildlife and block the sewers. We also looked at the difference between our sewer system and what they did in the 19th century and how this caused the Great Stink.
