In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday, 19th April

Welcome back to Summer Term. We're busy revising for SATs and making sure the children are prepared. Please help them with this by supporting the following homework: please complete the 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion by next Wednesday.  Remember to read every day for a minimum of 20 minutes, with 3 of these sessions reading aloud to an adult.  Make sure you know your spellings ready for the quiz on Monday:  incredible, legible, horrible, responsible, terrible, forcible, visible, sensible, possible, reversible.

Remy: This week in PE we have focused on athletics with Mr Jenna. In particular, I enjoyed learning about the shot-put and the discus. We put a cone in front of us and then shot from that line to see how far we could throw. After it had landed, we placed a cone to mark that point and then we got to try and beat it on our second go.

Ella: In Maths this week we began finding out what a 'mean' was and how to calculate it. I liked doing it because the problem-solving of using the mean to find a missing value. This also linked with our Science Investigation where we took our beats per minute after different exercises. We were able to use our knowledge of mean to find the average bpm for our class.

Isla: This week in English we began our new Power of Reading book called; A Song from Somewhere Else by A F Harrold. I especially enjoyed creating a freeze-frame to illustrate a difficult scene in the book where Frank was being bullied by Neil.
