Talk about what things make your community a great place to live.
In maths this week we have moved on to subtraction within 20. We looked at using number lines and 10 frames to help us and then tried subtracting the 10s first and then the 1s.
In English we have looked at using 'and' to join sentences and ideas. We have also had a go at our first word processed piece of writing. We made instructions for making wattle and daub walls using imperative verbs (bossy verbs). We had great fun using the computers!!
Our global learning sessions have been focusing on how to make communities more sustainable by making them really nice places to live to enhance peoples quality of life. To do this we looked at our school, the great parts and areas that we would like to improve. We decided that we would like a sensory garden to enhance the outside area.
Next we created mood boards with all our favourite ideas, colours and textures and then drew a design.
We are looking forward to sharing our learning with you on Koinonia Friday next week. (14th Feb).
