When we were with Mrs Dunford we were reusing things that you put in food waste. There was a man who showed us lots of different things to do with them. For example, the ends of an onion can be planted to grow new onions, with leaks the white bit can be put in compost to regrow leaks, the top of a carrot can be chopped off to regrow carrot leaves and eventually the carrot.
