In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 10th January 2020

Talk Homework: This Saturday afternoon the Buckden community will be meeting at the village hall to discuss climate change. Everybody is welcome to join in.

Mihai would like to tell you that in French we have been learning the months of the year. We already know our numbers to 31 in French so we will be able to say our birthday in French soon! Seb has enjoyed adding 2 two digit numbers on a number line in maths. We used part whole models to help us partition a number before adding on the tens and ones. Tom learned a verse of a poem called 'The Teacher Ate My Homework!' As a class we can recite the whole poem. In English we started to read a new book called The Yucky Duck Rescue. It is a mystery about pollution and Ellie liked it. Freya was happy to read for pleasure this morning, she is reading Matilda by Roald Dahl. Matilda is loving Global Learning this term because we made a pictogram showing which type of water everybody liked best. Today in maths, Joshua liked to put 2 digit numbers in dienes into a place value grid and see what happens when the ones number adds up to more than 10!

Have a great week end
