Talk Homework: Explain what you know about why some countries and cultures think that whaling is OK.
In maths we have continued to divide two digit numbers by a one digit number. We are starting to get the hang of it, though it is quite tricky! We have also done an arithmetic quiz and are waiting to find out if we beat our class target of 235.
In English and Global Learning we have been learning about whaling and why some different people have hunted or killed whales in the past and now. While we think it’s a horrible thing, we are starting to realise that there are some good reasons why it has been done sometimes. We watched clips from a documentary by Stacey Dooley. It’s available on BBC iPlayer (it’s called Whale Hunters) but it does have some graphic images of whale hunting so if your children want to watch it, please watch it with them.
