Talk Homework: Talk to your adults and discuss why trees are so important.

We have had a lovely first week back at school. All the children in Maple class have been absolutely incredible in their first week in year 2. They have settled brilliantly and are a joy to be with. Ella wants to tell you that we are all making new friends. Hugo thinks we have been learning lots. He has especially enjoyed his maths lessons. Mae has enjoyed maths too when we represented numbers using cubes and grouped into tens and ones. Isla F and Florence particularly liked retelling the story of Little Red Riding Hood on a story mountain. Ezra has liked learning about the Creation Story from the Bible in R.E. We made a Creation pin wheel to show what was created on each day of the process. Finley has been enjoying his school lunches, thankyou Mrs Bigg. Barney is proud of trying new things all week and had tried new food at lunchtime too, well done Barney. Harry and Florence went to their first Buckden Parliament meeting and discussed the school rules. Ethan likes the outdoor area that we have for our classroom that we are lucky to have. David enjoyed science this week when he was grouping objects that were alive, dead or had never been alive. Harry has been telling us all about visiting Buckden Library and borrowing Beast Quest books. Lucy has liked getting to know our new CLPE book and closely looking at a wanted poster with a wolf on it. We are wondering what the wolf is wanted for.

Have a fantastic weekend
