An update on our week of learning

English:

This week we have been looking postmen ready for our new story. We have been writing about postmen and thinking about their job role. We have also drawn and labelled some maps.

Maths:

This week we have been learning about tens and ones. We have looked at teen numbers to 20 and have been finding out how many groups of ten there are and how many ones (units). For example in the number 17 we have one lot of ten and 7 ones. We have been looking at doubling.

Global Learning:

We have started our new global learning tasks this week, thinking about the 17 sustainable development goals and how we can impact our world. Our topic for the half term is 'Life below the water'. We have started by thinking about what the ocean is and we created some fantastic art work to show our own representations of the ocean. We have also been learning about what the oceans are called and where they are.
