What we have done this week

Spellings:

                     you, they, will, she, has

                     the, me, and, we, to

                     are, said, what, they, by

 

Phonics:

We have been writing sentences that have trigraphs and digraphs in them. We have been looking at igh, oa, ar, air, ear.

We have been reviewing our phoneme sounds and using these to make CVC words. We have been looking at s,a,t,p,i,n,m.

 

English:

We have looked at a poem called 'The treasures'. We have been looking at performing poetry and how to use our voice to make it interesting and funny. We had a debate about littering. Some people looked at why you should put your rubbish int he bin and others looked at why you shouldn't. We then wrote a letter to Buckden residents to explain why we should not litter bin our village.

 

Maths:

We have been looking at the part, part, whole model. This is where we have 2 parts that when combined make a whole number.

Other:

We decorated and painted our cars (MA)

We have made helicopters and investigated if they can fly (FC)

We have been doing sport. So we have been getting ready for rugby. We have played farmers and foxes to get ready for playing rugby. (AP)
