Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.
Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning.
We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, we are currently looking at the 'oe' sound. Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.
With the looming Phonics check after half term please ensure you are reading and logging on Boomreader so we can support on tricky words and sounds.
The children have had a brilliant term and worked so hard - they deserve a break!
This week as part of our numeracy day on Wednesday we spoke about where we use maths in our community - the children all made posters and have taken them home for you to submit for a chance to win a price. Alongside this we have thoroughly enjoyed using coins to make different amounts of money consolidating our 2,5 and 10 counting.
As part of STEM week we undertook an investigation looking at which boat will float. The children had different variables and enjoyed seeing which one floated or which sank. It was lovely to see everyone working together showing great teamwork.
We have now said goodbye to Faruq! The children have been so inspired by this book and learning all about different cultures as well as learning about his story - we wonder which book will be next.
DT was the firm favourite for this week putting their knowledge into practice chopping, threading and eating their beautifully designed fruit kebabs.
