Talk Homework: Experiment with different amounts of coins and notes. Can you work out how much money there is? If you go shopping, can you work out what change you will need?

We’ve been learning about flowering plants in science. We are designing investigations to see if they need things like soil, air, light and water. We’ve thought really hard about how to make sure the investigations are scientifically fair (that does not mean that everyone gets a go).

In English we’ve been turning really boring sentences about our book “Varmints” into amazing and awesome sentences. For example:

Birds were tweeting in the trees.

into…

In the willow trees, swaying in the breeze, birds were quietly tweeting.

In maths we’ve been using money. We’ve seen all the different coins and some notes people use and have been working out different amounts. Mr B has been really impressed with the effort and determination of a few people who have found it a bit tricky.

In PE (with Miss Lizell), we’ve been playing netball. We’ve learned about chest, bounce and shoulder passes.

Our play songs can be found in the Muhammed Ali blog page – now you can practice as much as you want at home!!
