In Year 5 this week, we've been focusing on division word problems in Math and scaling fractions. We've begun to develop ideas for personifying the sea to write a poem next week from the point of view of our character, Zoe, in Floodlands. In RE, we studied how Muslims worship Krishna and show their devotion, whilst in geography Year 5 became very engaged in learning about sustainable fishing and why it's important. 

On Tuesday, many Year 5s went to Young Voices at Wembley (what an amazing night!) and truly made me proud with their behaviour. They were amazing examples Buckden pupils, especially considering the very late night they had. 

Today, pupils got quite messy decorating their paper mache sculptures, but we're sure it will be worth it in the end when it gets hung up.
