Please complete the 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion by Tuesday.
Our spelling words for this week are: variety, criticise, ancient, leisure, government, opportunity, sincerely, recognise, cemetery, equipped. Make sure you practise these and are ready for our quiz on Monday.
Remember to read for at least 20 minutes every day, with 3 of these sessions reading aloud to an adult.
Over the weekend, please gather some materials from your recycling bin (cereal boxes, packaging materials etc.) and bring these to school on Monday in a carrier bag, as we will need them for a Science experiment we are doing next week.
You will have read in the Weekly Newsletter today that it is Year 6 Koinonia Friday on Friday 24th October. As well as the children sharing their work with you, we would also like to share photos from our recent residential trip – we have lots!
Have an enjoyable weekend.
Mrs Purser and Mrs Walker
Seb: I enjoyed English this week. We were asked to write a shape poem to reflect Kester's escape from Spectrum Hall. I feel my poem captured the intensity of Kester jumping off the cliff!
Georgie: In Geography this week we learnt about Forestry. We explored both the negative and positive aspects of deforestation, and it was interesting to consider other people's views.
Harry: In PE this half-term we are learning to play tennis. It was fun and I got to develop some new skills.
