Please complete the tasks set for you on SATs Companion.  Remember to read every day for a minimum of 20 minutes at home, with one of these sessions a week reading aloud to an adult.  Spend 10 minutes a day on Doodle Maths questions, as well as completing the task set for you.  Our spellings this week are: twelfth, queue, amateur, category, environment, correspond, frequently, language, occur, signature.  Make sure you know these and are ready for our quiz on Monday.

Lucas:  This week in English we have been writing an argument text about whether or not a new character in the book (Ma) can be trusted.  I found writing the piece quite difficult, but we were able to use quotes from the book to support what we were trying to say.

Mattie:  In Science this week, we completed an investigation where we were looking at the variations in hand-spans between children in our class.  I found that there was very little variation between people.  Other people found that there wasn't a particular pattern between hand-spans, and many of us thought that the size would possibly mirror how tall a person was, but this wasn't the case.

Hayley:  In Maths we have been thinking about how we can do mental calculations based on facts we know.  I really enjoyed this.
