Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least 20 minutes of Doodle maths each week.

Next week is the phonics screening check and so we encourage children to do as much reading as possible over the weekend and go over any sounds if needed.

If your children have any old t shirts please can they bring these in as we will need these in DT.

This week the children have been learning about ordinal numbers and above and below. We have also been recapping simple addition and subtraction and it is great to see how confident they all are in themselves.

In English this week we have been doing lots of dictation lessons and the children have shown that they have a great understanding of phonics and all are able to apply the sounds they have learnt into their writing.

In RE we started our new topic of Judaism and we looked at the festival of Sukkot. The children learned about what a Sukkah is and they have the chance to make one as a class.

Finally, I think the highlight of the week was when the children got to make their fruit kebabs in DT. They made some lovely patterns and explored how the different flavours worked together and they were each able to produce a great final product!
