In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

16.5.25

Please practise spellings for Monday, and complete homework/30 minutes of Doodle Maths for Thursday. Spellings: bridal, bridle, guessed, guest, heard, herd, morning, mourning, passed and past.

Year 5 ended the week with a competitive game of Capture the Flag against Year 6 - a tradition that's been established for several years to mark the end of SATS week. They built our clay vessels, which are being prepared for glazing, and have been developing our research skills as they've independently researched an animal's lifecycle of their choosing.

In Geography, we've been looking at world hunger, food security and the effects of natural disasters.

Our play rehearsals are coming along well, and dates will be announced (as well as costume lists) before half-term break. Most pupils have put so much effort into learning their lines and songs that they really shine. All the roles matter, and we please urge you to support your child in learning and performing their lines at home so that they build their confidence before rehearsals as our time is very limited.

Next Monday, pupils will be baking bread. They are welcome to bring in an apron to protect their uniform and will need to provide the two flavour ingredients agreed by their team. They can change it from their initial choice if they wish.

Have a good weekend.
