    4th May 2020

    Dear Kenny class,

    Hello everyone!  Welcome to week 3 of our Project Learning, please email or phone the office if you are having any problems accessing the material.

    Firstly, please keep doing your journal to capture what you are doing at home during this time. Just to reiterate the journal could be some kind of notebook or a scrap book or even stapled paper is fine.

    In your journal you write:

    1. How you are feeling
    2. What you have done. This can be any of the work you have done from the blog and anything that you have done whilst at home.
    3. What you have enjoyed each day.

    We can’t wait to see to see them and share them with everybody!

    We will be calling you all again this week to find out how you are getting along.

    Take care and stay safe

    Mrs Woodward and Mr Palmer

    Idea 10

    Friday 8th May is VE day commemorating 75 years. What can you learn about the origins of VE day? Buckden is holding a party in the form of a picnic in your garden. Can you take part? You can make decorations in red/white and blue using your pattern knowledge. Make picnic food. Prepare games to play and a music play list. Mr Palmer and Mrs Woodward will be doing the same in their homes. If you would like to share any photos of your party to put on the school facebook page, they can be emailed to the school office. https://bletchleypark.org.uk/blog/celebrate-ve-day-at-home-with-bletchley-park has resources to help with this (including cocktail recipes for adults only!) and Absolute Radio 40’s is broadcasting music from the era along with news reports from the time. Why not involve your friends and families, share the idea and video call them to ‘party’ together.

    Acrostic example;

    Nice to everyone, caring and helping

    Understanding
