English: We are really our new book 'The Lonely Beast.' We made a new friend out of play dough and wrote about what they were like. We have also read the beginning of the story and sequenced the main events from the story so far. 

Maths: We have been completing addition and subtraction fact families and understanding the process needed in order to complete them accurately. Also we used our understanding of number bonds to 10 to learn our number bonds to 100 (tens).

Global Learning: We made puppets of the endangered animals that we had chosen to learn about and have used these this afternoon to help explain the decrease in these species. This morning we planted some conkers as Horse Chestnut trees are in decline and now classified as a protected tree.
