Today has been very strange, for everyone I expect. We are all now getting used to a new routine and hoping to continue learning, however that may be.
I will update this every week with some new tasks.
This week the most important thing is to learn how to deal with this new routine, remembering that sort sessions work best.
Role play a story to develop vocabulary and imagination.
Share books and retell the story afterwards, discuss the characters and ask questions about what happened.
Read comics, menus, fact books and recipes.
Play board games to develop turn taking and practice maths skills.
Play ‘Hit The Button’ https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button
Cook something to practise reading scales.
Make sure you know the value of coins and set up a little shop to add coins.
Use Abacus https://www.activelearnprimary.co.uk/start#abacus
Make some outdoor art.
Go on TT RockStars https://ttrockstars.com/ (login in reading journal)
If you want to finish off either of the stories that we had started in school, these are the details
Hotel Flamingo by Alex Milway
Zeraffa Giraffa by Dianne Hofmeyr
