Friday 20th December

No talk homework

This term our Global Goal has been Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. We have learnt all about Why we need rules and who enforces them. In science we explored our unique finger prints and performed a comparative test to see how we could make the best finger print to lift off with selotape, just like forensic scientists (Lucie loved it!). After a visit from our PCSO, Richard, we planned and wrote a diary entry all about a day in the life of a policeman (Freya loved this). Matilda enjoyed looking closely at a police badge image and trying to recreate it by etching on til foil. Then we all sketched part of a big police badge and put the parts together like a jigsaw to make a big badge. Jack G like making our Christmas tree cards and we all hope you like them! Christmas is great because we have been allowed to do some Christmas colouring! A highlight this week has been to eat our yummy Christmas dinner prepared by Mrs Bigg, wearing our home made Christmas hats. We decorated them in repeating patterns using our shape knowledge and turning shapes into Christmassy things. Hunter enjoyed pretending to be a police dog and then writing a job advert for a police dog vacancy.

We hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas holiday
