In English we have been learning about inverted commas (aka speech marks) and how to use them. We had a competition and everyone did really well. We’re going to learn more detail about them later in the year when we’ll learn all of the rules about how to use them. Where should they go in this sentence?

In PE with Miss Lizell we have been learning hockey. We enjoyed starting to tackle and doing dribbling competitions.

In music we listened to some steam trains and then tried to make the rhythm ourselves. We used some drums, bells and other percussion. Through the half term we will be building up these ideas into a full performance.

We also got some new play equipment on the field which we all really like – including a new bridge and some chimes (more percussion instruments!).
