Year 6 - WEEK 2

Each week, you can continue with the online activities (Rodocodo & Times Table Rockstars), as well as remembering to read every day for at least 20 minutes and practise your spellings.

In addition, this week you could try:

Maths:

One of the Maths topics, which we haven’t covered yet, is Ratio and Proportion.  This website has some really useful resources – there is a short explanatory video and then a worksheet (with the answers to check your work at the end).

Have a go at the Week 1 lessons this week (there are 5 lessons in total and the first one is called ‘Using Ratio Language’).

Writing:

Phone or FaceTime a friend or family member and ask them to talk about their lives for at least 5 minutes.  Whilst they are talking, make notes on as many important and interesting facts as you can – dates, places, significant events.  You can then write a short biography about their lives (just as we did about Rosa Parks).  You could always phone or FaceTime again to share your writing with them. 

Art:

Have a go at the Art Challenge that is attached below.  This is ongoing and you could choose to do two or three small pictures a week to put together into your final larger product.
