What a great start to the term! The children have shown great resilience and have settled in well.
We have a couple of notices for you:
Over the last few days, the children have been writing about the journey of a pebble to tie in with this term's book named The Pebble in my Pocket. They looked at their own pebble/pebble/fossil and wrote a descriptive account of it's journey through life.
In maths, we looked at numbers to 100. In Friday's maths lesson, we went outside and physically created our own number lines on the field. We started by ordering our own birthdays in months and years. After we had practised ordering other numbers, we finally ordered varying numbers to 100. It was more challenging than they thought, but they did so well!
In PE, they started to play rugby. Today, we played tag games which are great for developing rugby players' running, footwork and movement skills.
Have a wonderful weekend!
