Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.
Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning.
We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, we are currently looking at the 'ou' sound. Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.
The children have worked so hard this term with their learning. They have answered our SDG question about how education in Buckden has changed and are excited to move onto our next goal and new learning next term.
The children in their phonics have looked at the 'ir' sound 'girl in a twirl' they loved learning this sound and picked it up quickly. They also found our shared reading book of Highland Summer a great read and enjoyed the non-fiction aspect of their learning.
Within maths we have been focused on Number bonds. They have worked very hard and we would like to suggest you spend some time on Topmarks over the holidays playing a game to ensure that the knowledge sticks.

In our English we have been focused on hand writing and looking at pre-cursive. It would be great if you continued this over the half term using letter join which helps the children to understand the formation of their letters.
Parents evening after half term please make sure you book on arbor.

Bin-tastic Challenge!
Our playground bins are ready for a makeover—and we want YOUR brilliant ideas! The Eco Team is calling on all creative minds to design a brand-new bin that’s fun, functional, and fabulous.
🎨 Your Mission: Grab an A4 sheet of paper and sketch your dream bin design. Think bold colours, cool shapes, and eco-friendly features. Could it talk? Could it sort recycling? Could it look like a robot or a tree?
🌱 The Eco Team will review all the designs and choose the most awesome one to inspire our new playground bins! Deadline Friday 7th November.
