Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.
Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning.
Homework expectations are 30 minutes of Doodlemaths a week minimum and logging reading on Boomreader 3 times a week minimum.
We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, we are currently looking at the 'u-e' sound. Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.
Hungry, snappy, tiny, granny, fluffy

Within phonics this week we have looked at our sound -y (ee) which comes at the end of the words. The children have really enjoyed and grasped this concept well. We have been looking at our shared reader Pets alongside this, their reading has improved they should be very proud of how far they have come.
Within our science we have looked at fish this week. The children even answered some tricky challenge questions but rose to the occasion - they are thoroughly enjoying this topic and are excited to see how it links with our exciting visitor on tuesday.
In our English learning we are looking at the last bit of our book How to Find Gold. The children have created some fantastically imaginative sentences. They are extending and adding in additional adjectives to showcase their writing. Within our maths we have spent time looking at odd and even this week and the magic 0. The children are grapsing this concept well and their Doodlemath homework will help support/consolidate their learning.
