Home Learning
Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.
Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning.
Homework expectations are 30 minutes of Doodlemaths a week minimum and logging reading on Boomreader 3 times a week minimum.
We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, we are currently looking at the 'ce’ or 'ci' or 'c' sound (s). Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.

In English this week we have been continuing with our new book 'Claude in the City'. We have been looking at sequencing the events in the story so far. We then wrote a postcard to 'Mr and Mrs Shinyshoes' to tell them of Claude and Sir Bobbly socks adventures.
On World Book Day we looked at our favourite books and the children presented theirs to the class and we chose a couple to read. We did some writing to talk about our favourite characters.
In Maths we have been looking at numberlines, number bonds to 10 and how these can help us with our number bonds to 20. We then looked a bit at
In Science we have been looking at seasons and how they change across the year. We went on a walk around the field to see if we could see any signs of Spring. We then spoke about what hibernation is and which animals hibernate and which don't.
