In English this week they have been looking at 'The Stick Man'. We made character descriptions of Stick Man and Santa and the children had the chance to sequence the story themselves and even retell the story. 

In maths we have been looking at measuring. We began by measuring things using cubes and then moved on to using rulers. The children are really confident in measuring in centimeters and are able to line their object up with 0 to be accurate. 

In science this week we were looking at how to stay safe in winter and we discussed what hazards there might be and how we can protect ourselves from this. 

Your child will have been given a pack of work to take home with them over Easter. We have included some reading and comprehension as well as some maths work too. There is no expectation to complete any or all of it but it is there to help your child over Easter.
