    Home Learning

Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.

Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning.

We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, we are currently looking at the 'ire' sound. Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.

    vampire, hire, dire, tired, admire

    I admired the tired vampire.

Welcome back after Easter! We hope you had a fantastic break and are all well rested.

This week we have been looking at capacity and volume (Doodlemaths Homework related to this). The children have really grasped this concept and enjoyed looking at what both words mean. They have been able to compare capacity and understand that capacity is different to volume.

Within our English we have been focusing on sentence structure. We have a huge push on capital letters, finger spaces and full stops, most children are able to complete this but some find it hard. To combat this issue if you would like you children to practice some sentences at home please do with a focus on the above success criteria.

In our Geography and History our learning is focused on farming. Within History we looked at how farming has changed over time which the children thoroughly enjoyed and our Geography was looking at where our food comes from sorting between plants and animals.
