The children have had a good week back at school after half-term.
This weeks spellings are: preferring, gardening, beginning, controlled, listened, forgetting and forgotten
In science this week we have been looking at the requirements for a plant so that it is able to grow healthy and strong. We are planning an experiment, which we will observe over the next few weeks, to see which of the requirements are most important.
In English the children have been looking at instructional texts, writing their own instructions on how to prepare for a storm. this has been linked to our text - Why the Whales came
In Maths the children have learnt a new method for solving 1 digit x 2 digit multiplications. Perhaps they could explain and show the method to you?
Reminders- World book day on Thursday 5th March. The children can come to school dressed as their favourite word!
Please complete 10 minutes of Doodle maths a day and make sure that the Doodle assignments, which are set on a Friday have been completed by the following Friday.
Spelling homework is due in on a Monday.
